For the longest time, Dermalogica has been one of my top skincare choices. I’ve tried a lot of products from the range and they’ve never disappointed. Backed by the science of dermatology, the brand has an incredible ethos. They believe in an ‘education first’ approach, aiming to ensure every customer knows their skin. I’ve been trying out their Daily Microfoliant for a couple of weeks now, and thought I’d share my thoughts.

What is Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant?

The Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is a gentle, yet effective, daily exfoliator. It’s a rice-based powder that activates when combined with water. It works to remove dead skin cells from the surface of the skin, leaving you with a soft and smooth complexion.

How do I use it?

Firstly, I run my hands under water to wet them, before adding some of the powder to my hands. I then rub it together, which turns the powder into an exfoliating paste. Once it’s at this stage, I then apply it to my face in circular motions, focusing on the areas that are drier. Finally, I rinse it off and pat my face dry.

What do I think?

Honestly, I love this! Exfoliators can sometimes feel a bit harsh on the skin, however this is so gentle that I’m not worried using it multiple times a week. I’m also an incredible fan of the smell, it’s got a subtle scent of oats. I’d recommend using it in the shower though, because it can get a bit messy if you’re using it around the sink.
