nrIf like me, you enjoy trying new products, you’re going to love TOPPBOX.
The market for female subscription boxes is huge, and not many companies have tailored their approach for men. There are a number of them out there, but they all operate in a different way. TOPPBOX is one of the first I’ve seen that is an actual subscription with travel and full sized products.
How does TOPPBOX work?
After completing a short questionnaire online, you’ll be sent a selection of grooming products suited directly to your needs. You can opt in to receive it monthly, or bi-monthly, so it’s perfect for everyone.
It comes with a 4-5 hair and skincare products and is valued between £50-£70. With an RRP of £19, it’s honestly a steal.
What did I think?
I tried out TOPPBOX for the first time recently, and I’ve got to say, I’m impressed. For a skincare junkie like me, it’s rare that I hear of a brand I’m not aware of, but this box surprised me.
I only knew one brand that was sent to me, and the rest I’d never heard of which is super exciting. Trying out new products is super fun, right? I’m sure you’re all dying to hear what I thought of the contents, so I’ll cover them briefly because there’s a lot!
S5 Purity Serum
I’d never heard of this brand before, but it definitely intrigued me. Although I suffer from dry skin, I’ve been getting a lot of congestion lately so I’ve been looking for a purifying serum. This one from S5 is super light, and works to reduce the appearance of pores.
Christopher Courtney Chocolate Enzyme Foot Exfoliate
This products smells INCREDIBLE! It’s got a smell that I’d compare to hot chocolate. Along with a physical scrub, it also has fruit acid to give a deeper exfoliation. I’ve not used many foot scrubs before, however these are perfect for if you’re going on holiday and your feet are going to be on show. Saying that, we could all do with making our feet look a little better.
The Scottish Soap Company Sea Kelp Shampoo and Conditioner
You can never have too many travel size hair products. They’re always good to have for when you’re visiting family, friends, or going on a holiday. These products are okay, but they’re nothing special. Think of the kind of shampoo you’d get in a hotel, and that’s a pretty good benchmark for these.
Hawkins & Brimble Face Wash
I’m familiar with Hawkins & Brimble and have been a fan of the brand since they launched. I actually got the chance to see a sneak peek of the packaging before the brand had even launched! Cool, right? This face wash is packed full of energising ingredients so it’s great for using first thing in the morning.
Jack Perfume Piccadilly ’69
Probably my least favourite product in the box, but it’s the smallest so it’s fine. The scent smells pretty soapy to me, and it’s definitely something I wouldn’t wear. This’ll be going straight in the bin.
TOPPBOX is one of the only subscription boxes for male grooming, and it’s definitely worth signing up to if you’re looking to discover new products. I’m pretty impressed with the selection of products. The S5 Purity Serum is £44 alone, so you’ve already made your money back with this one product.
