WEIGHT WATCHERS ICED DESSERTS | REVIEW

As you may have seen from my previous blog, ‘Mission Beach Body’ is happening. I’ve been eating healthier and attempting to reduce the amount of sweet treats I have in my diet. When I was asked if I’d like to review the new Weight Watchers Iced Desserts, I was more than happy to give them a whirl.

There are 5 new desserts that you can get from various different supermarkets. I tried 2 of the new ones including Chocolate & Toffee Mini Pots and Toffee & Honeycomb Sundaes. These both appealed to me the most because I’m a massive fan of toffee. Not being able to have this whilst I’m dieting has been a killer.

Toffee & Honeycomb Sundaes

This is the most luxurious of the two I tried. It’s a toffee and vanilla flavoured iced dessert, swirled with toffee sauce. It also has some little crunchy toffee pieces on the top. How great does that sound? The texture of this dessert is really light; it’s whipped and kind of moussey. The whole dessert is less than 120 calories, which is practically the same as a yogurt! I did find that the fat man inside me wanted more, I wasn’t as satisfied as I’d want to be. When dieting, anything is better than nothing, so this is something I’ll deal with.

Chocolate & Toffee Mini Pots

This dessert comes in two flavours. Any guesses what they are? I’m sure you got it right, they’re chocolate honeycomb and toffee fudge. These are smaller than the sundaes, but you get twice as many in the box. These are both really creamy and I found them to be quite rich. These definitely fulfilled my sweet tooth more than the sundaes. I’m not usually a fan of chocolate ice cream, but this Chocolate Honeycomb iced dessert is definitely something I can get on board with. They also have less than 80 calories in. They’d be perfect as a little sweet treat after your meal.

I’m definitely going to be repurchasing these desserts again. As they come in small pots, it stops me from overeating and finishing a large tub, like I do with Ben and Jerry’s. C’mon, we’ve all been there! If chocolate and toffee isn’t your thing, the iced desserts also come in a selection of strawberry and raspberry.

You can pick up these desserts in ASDA, Sainbury’s, Morrison’s and Iceland.

Have you tried the new Weight Watchers Iced Desserts? Let me know what you normally have as a sweet treat when dieting.

Shaun.
