If you’re interested in skincare, you’ll have heard of Dermalogica. Even if you’re not, you’ve probably still heard of them.

I’ve invested in Dermalogica for the longest time, and have several reviews of products across my blog including their Phyto Replenish Oil and Charcoal Resuce Masque. It’s honestly one of my favourite skincare brands, so I’m super excited to officially part of their Skinfluencer programe and test out a number of products from their range.

For the past couple weeks, I’ve been using 5 products from Dermalogica and wanted to share my thoughts. The products I’ve been using are listed below, and they’re not only in order of use, but also in order of my preference!

Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel

This is officially my new favourite cleanser. What most people don’t know, is that I’m actually incredibly sensitive to soap, so it’s music to my ears when I hear this product is soap free. The Special Cleansing Gel is a foaming cleanser than can be used by all skin types and helps to wash away impurities without stripping the skin. The scent is a combination of lavendar and mint, which I’m honestly in love with – it’s so refreshing, yet calming. When I use this cleanser, my skin feels clean, but not too clean. Like it actually feels soft, hydrated and soothed – which I’m all about.

Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel is £32

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

My second favourite product from the collection is the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. I’ve actually used this exfoliator for a while now, and even featured it on my blog in the past. Read more here. I couldn’t speak any more highly of this product. It’s a powder that is activated with water, creating a gentle exfoliator. It’s suitable for daily use, and that’s exactly what I do. After cleansing, I apply daily microfoliant to my skin. It’s packed full of rice powder to help exfoliate, but also papain and salicylic acid to exfoliate even deeper. There are so many great ingredients in this product; I really couldn’t list them all down. I’d just 100% recommend you give this a go if you’re looking for an effective daily exfoliator.

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is £49.50

Dermalogica Biolumin-C Serum

Biolumin-C is one of the latest additions to the Dermalogica skincare family. Dermalogica, what took you so long to create a Vitamin C serum? This product helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and let’s face it, I’m not getting any younger. So this product is a must! It helps to brighten, firm and protect the skin against daily agressors, so it’s perfect for ageing city skin like mine. It’s got a lovely citrus scent, but it’s not irritating on the skin. This product is my third favourite, only because I’ve not been able to give it a proper test drive. The weather has gotten really cold at the minute, so my skin is freaking out and I’ve had to switch to a repairing face oil. Once it balances back out, I’ll be giving this product another whirl. But my first impressions are SO good, I really can’t wait to use it again because it feels lovely on the skin.

Dermalogica Biolumin-C Serum is £81.50

Dermalogica Active Moist

When I first applied Dermalogica Active Moist, I instantly noticed how incredible the texture is. It’s such a lightweight product, but it feels nourishing. I’d been using this throughout the warmer months, and it still manages to keep my skin hydrated. Granted it needs a bit of support from my face oil, but I expect that because my skin is as dry as a piece of toast. It has an oil-free formula, so doesn’t feel greasy on the skin which I’m all about. It’s a lovely product, and I’ll definitely continue to use it. I think it’s going to be even better when I’m using it abroad and my skin isn’t as damaged by the cold weather.

Dermalogica Active Moist is £33.50

Dermalogica Solar Defence Booster

Lastly, I’ve been using the Dermalogica Solar Defence Booster. And before I share my thoughts, I wanted to emphasise how useless I am when it comes to SPF – I just always forget to apply it. I know it’s the most important step of a skincare routine, but I’m in a terrible habit that I need breaking out of. The formula of this product though is amazing. Usually I hate SPF’s because they leave a white tint on my skin and just feel really heavy. Not this one. When you apply it, you can’t even tell it’s there. I typically mix it in with a moisturiser and apply it to my whole face. It’s also got some extra skin boosting benefits, so that’s an added bonus too. I’m going to make it a mission of mine to actually use this consistently while I’m away. Maybe if I can use it solidly for 2 weeks, I can get into the habit of using an SPF all the time? Fingers crossed!

Dermalogica Solar Defence Booster is £44

I’ve previously said that Dermalogica was in my top 3 skincare ranges. However after using these products for the last couple of weeks, I think it’s edging slightly into first place. At least 3 of the products above are going to become staples in my skincare routine, which is a huge thing for me to commit to, but that’s how I’m currently feeling.

If you haven’t tried anything from Dermalogica before, I’d highly recommend it. You can even pop into your local counter and get a skin consultation to properly advise you on what products you should be using.

I was kindly gifted this products, but all opinions are 100% honest and my own.

I’m a massive lover of travel. I don’t think there’s a better way to spend your time than exploring a new city, discovering it’s history and trying out the food. But when you’re travelling light, you can’t always bring your full skincare routine.

Shiseido men travel essentials

I tend to do a couple of city breaks throughout the year, and book a 4 day trip that straddles the weekend. As I’m only away for a few days and want to get as much time in the city as possible, I always travel with handluggage only. Crazy, right? I spend 4 days away living out of a backpack. Now the clothes part isn’t too much of an issue. But as you know, I’ve got a pretty extensive skincare routine, and trying to fit that into your tiny travel bag isn’t easy! But I’ve got a solution for you – buy it in the airport! Even if I’m travelling for a couple of weeks, I’ll still do a bit of airport shopping anyway. Any excuse.

World Duty Free have an amazing selection of travel skincare kits, that range in price and cover all of your skincare needs. What I typically do is travel with a couple of my staples, and then pick up the rest when I’m at the airport and split it with my boyfriend. Then the next time I’ll travel, I’ll bring along the products I bought last time, and repeat the cycle. It’s actually a pretty affordable method, because most places don’t charge taxes, and usually have airport exlusive offers.

I’ve recently been trying out a couple of travel sized products from Shiseido Men. I got my hands on a little travel set, that I’m currently trying to save for my trip to Orlando in a couple of months.

It only costs £17.55, and you get a Cleansing Foam, Deep Cleansing Scrub and Hydro Master Gel. It also comes with a free little gift, which is a Power Infusing Concentrate.

Shiseido men’s products lined up

For me, this is perfect. I find that my typical face cream can be too heavy for warmer climates, so the light Hydro Master Gel is great for the daytime when I’m abroad. It’s got a lovely clean scent, that actually reminds me of the dentist. I know that’s a weird comparison! The Deep Cleansing Scrub has really fine exfoliating particles, that really does the trick. I never travel with a scrub, because my cleanser always takes priority, but this is a nice little addition. The Cleansing Foam is a bit too effective for me. I found that my skin felt too cleane, which is a nice problem to have, but I think this product would be more suited to oily skin. Maybe after my skin has spent a couple of days in the sun, and starts producing more oil, this cleanser will be incredible.

Honestly, the selection of products are endless at World Duty Free, and you can usually find some hidden skincare gems you can’t get elsewhere. What’s even better, is that you can order online and collect at the airport, so you know exactly what you’re getting. It gives you more space in your luggage, and more time to eat when you arrive.

What’s your favourite thing to do when you’re at the airport? Let me know on Instagram.

I was sent these products by World Duty Free. I wasn't obliged to write about them, and all opinions and experiences are my own.

Since trying MALIN+GOETZ for the first time a couple of months ago, I’ve been super interested in the brand. The Resurfacing Glycolic Acid pads are really good, so the benchmark has been set high!

Malin+goetz skincare review image

I’ve been trying out a couple of new products from the collection, and without giving too much away, I’ve found two new skincare essentials! Carry on reading to find out what I’ve been using.

MALIN+GOETZ Brightening Enzyme Mask

Malin+Goetz brightening Enzyme mask

I don’t think I need to talk about anything other than how much I love this mask! From the first time I used it, I’ve been obsessed! Its a gel-based mask that helps to cleanse, exfoliate and brighten dry skin. Packed full of great ingredients such as fruit enzymes, AHA’s and ginger, it works to revitalise and restore your skin’s natural glow.

You only need to leave it on for 5 minutes, and it tingles slighty, but your skin feels amazing when you rinse it off. I’ve used masks like this before, that just aren’t effective. But the MALIN+GOETZ Brightening Enzyme Mask is an incredible addition to your masking routine, and it’s now a permenant addition to mine.

If you try it, you won’t be dissapointed. It’s available here.

MALIN+GOETZ Recovery Treatment Oil

Malin+Goetz recovery treatment oil

I’ve not used an oil daily, until I discovered this one. I use one at night, but usually find they’re too much for the daytime. But the MALIN+GOETZ Recovery Treatment Oil is perfect! It absorbs into the skin so quickly, and gives an instant boost of hydration. The oil also contains antioxidant ingredients that help to protect against free radicals and leave your skin looking healthy.

You’re meant to apply between 5 and 7 drops to the skin, but I find that for the day I only need 3. When I apply it at night, I increase the quantity to 5 drops. The formula contains nine natural oils that all work in tandem to improve your skin. It contains evening primrose, argan, jojoba, grapeseed, rosehip, geranium, borage, avocado, and camellia oils. I wouldn’t usually list them all out, but I’m sure you’ll agree that it’s a power-packed formula that is crafted for success.

If you want to give it a go, make sure you head over to MALIN+GOETZ.

MALIN+GOETZ SPF 30 Face Moisturiser

Malin+Goetz spf 30 face moisturiser

We should all be wearing SPF daily, especially during the summer. I hate to admit it, but I find it incredibly difficult to use an SPF daily. I just can’t get on board with most of the texutres, and I’ve never been a fan of how they feel on the skin. But my first impressions MALIN+GOETZ SPF 30 Face Moisturiser are really good, as it feels just like a moisturiser.

It doesn’t leave a white sheen on the skin, which is typical of most physical sun protectors. Not only does it protect against UV rays, but it’s also packed with Vitamin E to help fight free radicals and environmental aggressors too. And it also has aloe in, which helps to soothe the skin, so it’s perfect for warmer months!

My skin is honestly struggling with this heat. It’s been really dehyrated, but congested because of the rich products I’ve been using. I honestly thought I couldn’t win, but after trying some products from Murad, my skin is finally improving!

Dr. Murad’s range has been around for a long time, and it’s obvious why it stands the test of him. Howard Murad is a certified dermatologist, so really understands skin. This knowledge is present in his range, but it’s not overcomplicated and it’s really easy to understand what each product does.

Murad Hydrating Toner

I know the importance of a toner, but I’ve never managed to make one stick in my skincare routine. But when I first discovered the Murad Hydrating Toner, I was instantly intrigued. I watched a review from Dani, where she spoke incredibly highly of this product, so I had to try it for myself.

This toner is alchol-free and helps to restore the natural pH of your skin, which all good toners should do. The Hydrating Toner is incredibly nourishing on the skin, and it helps to refresh and revitalise the complexion. When I first tried it, I was surprised to notice that my skin felt tighter, but in a good way. I discovered this is due to the witch hazel in the product, which helps to tighten pores. I’ve been using it every morning and night since I first tried it – which is a first for me and toners. Whenever I use it, my skin is left feeling soft and refreshed. I’ve even been misting it throughout the day for an instant cooling boost.

Alongside witch hazel, the formula is also packed full of other great ingredients such as chamomile and cucumber. Both help to calm and soothe the skin, which for some with dry skin like me, is essential! It’s also enriched with Vitamins C and E, so your skin is protected against an environmental agressors throughout the day.

To sum it all up, I think I’ve found my favourite toner! You get get yours from Murad for £26.

Murad Pore Extractor Pomegranate Mask

My skin has been going through a war at the minute. The heat is drying it out, so I’m using products that are packed full of hydrating ingredients, some of which are blocking my pores and leaving my skin congested. I don’t want to stop using the products, because then my skin is left feeling dehydrated. It’s a battle choosing between hydration or clear pores.

This is probably why the Murad Pore Extractor Pomegranate spoke to me. Just the words ‘pore extractor’ were enough to make me want to try this out. It helps to deeply clean your pores, exfoliate dead skin cells and overall improve the appearnce of pores. You apply the mask to freshly cleansed skin, and leave it one for about 10 minutes. You then add a bit of water to your hands and massage the mask into the skin to create an exfoliating lather.

I loved how clean and clear my skin felt when I used it for the first time. I’ve had to stop myself from using this every day, because I want it to last as long as possible! My boyfriend even said this is a mask he’d look to buy again, which for him, is really rare. The mask is mainly suitable for oily, blemish-prone skin, but if your skin is on the drier side like mine, it actually still works really well.

The Murad Pore Extractor Pomegranate Mask is helping me win the battle with blocked pores, and I couldn’t be more thankful. Try it for yourself by heading over to Murad. It’s only £30!

It’s rare that I try a couple of products from a brand and they all do exactly what I want, but Murad has been successful. Both the Hydrating Toner and Pore Extractor Mask have a firm place in my current skincare routine. For the past 3 weeks I’ve been using them consistently, and I don’t see me switching them out any time soon!

I knew I’d like this product from the minute I first used it. I looked at the ingredients and discovered squalene, which is possibly my all time favourite skincare ingredient! The Triple Mission Face Moisturiser is suitable for daily se, and keeps your skin hydrated throughout the day. If you read any of my posts, you’ll know I’m incredibly fussy with face creams, and this one makes the cut.
