Whether you’re treating yourself, or buying for a loved one, you should hopefully find some inpiration in this post. If that wasn’t enough to convince you, the product formulas also feel and smell incredible and the price point is perfect.

Gentlemen’s Tonic

I’ve been a massive fan of Gentlemen’s Tonic for so long. Their formulas are affordable and are designed to give you spa-like skincare from your own home. The cleanser, face scrub and moisturiser all smell incredible and really work wonders on the skin. Use the scrub up to 3 times a week, alternating with the foaming cleanser, then use the moisturiser daily. This is a pre-packed skincare routine that is seriously going to transform the skin. Any man would love this as a gift!

Absolute Collagen Stud Box

If you’re buying for someone who is a health fanatic, or generally looks after their skin, the Absolute Collagens Stud Box will make a great gift. I’m sure you’ll have heard that looking good starts from within, and Absolute Collagen stands by that ethos. In the box you get 14 sachets of edible marine collagen, that helps to promote healthy skin, hair and nails. It has a sweet taste, that’s almost fruity. It’s drinkable skincare, and if it’s good enough for Callum Best, it’s good enough to gift.

Moosehead is Australia’s number one male grooming brand. The collection consists of 4 products, Forming Wax, Shaping Dough, Gritty Styling Clay and Grubby Putty. They’ve just launched in a number of stores across England including Superdrug and Asda, and they’re definitely worth checking out. All formulas smell incredible, and will make great stocking fillers. Not only that, but they actually work. They’re developed using salon professional formulations, and trust me when I say, you can tell.

Who else loves a face mask? The UK’s number 1 Korean mask brand have just launched their first men’s collection and it’s really great. The masks are easy to use and since they have a selection available, it makes the perfect stocking filler. I personally love the ‘Pimped Out No More’, which is a mud mask that contains Tea Tree and Vitamin A. Use it after shaving and all irritation will be gone.

Skin Doctors Gamma Hydroxy

For that savvy skincare lover in your life, the Skin Doctors Gamma Hydroxy is going to be a winning gift. Or at least look like you have…

As the festive season draws in, you’ll no doubt be spending more time socialising. From family gatherings, to mid-week work parties, it’s time to pop open a bottle of bubbly and have a good time. We’ve all been vitctim to wine flu, but if you’re anything like me, you’re not great at handling it.

I can’t handle a hangover, but over the years I’ve picked up a couple of tips to at least pretend like I can.

Hydrate Before You Sleep

Possibly the most important thing if you want to wake up in the morning without a splitting headache. Before you sleep, drink as much water as you can. I usually force myself to drink a litre, just to make sure I’m fully hydrated. Of course, this means you’ll wake up through the night, but I’ve found that this is better than feeling like death all day.

Under Eye Cream

Even if you’re feeling better, I can guarantee that your eyes will give it away. Any signs of tiredness or dehydration will show under your eyes. Use an eye cream that adds a boost of energy into your skin. It’ll reduce the appearance of under-eye bags, instantly making you look more awake. Murdock London’s Anti-Eye Serum is a great choice, and if you pop this in the fridge the night before, it’ll feel even better when you apply it.

picture of murdock london eye serum

Facial Mists

What better way to look fresh, than feel fresh. I have a cold facial mist on hand throughout the day, and whenever I’m starting to feel a bit dodgy, I mist myself and cool down. It’s simple, effective, and can help brighten your skin too.

Under Eye Concealer

Don’t be afraid of reaching for a concealer in your time of need. It’s okay to wear makeup! I only use concealer, but trust me, it does wonders for hiding a hangover. Pat a small amount across the bottom of your eye and you’ll look fresh in no time. Whatever you do, don’t rub it in. It’ll end up looking streaky, and we don’t want that. Simple, easy and effective.

If you’re suffering from the brown bottle flu this festive season, I’m sure some of the tips above will help. If all else fails, a bit of retail therapy always helps. Check out the range of gifts from Murdock London and your hangover woes will be a thing of the past!

Now if you’re looking to actually get a hangover, why not check out this article on how a man takes his drinks. Don’t forget to also carry yourself the right way, it’ll trick people into thinking you’re confident and feeling great!

As you probably know by now, skincare is my passion. I love looking out for new and innovative ingredients, formulas and products.

Omorovicza is a luxury skincare brand that has a spa heritage. Originating for Budapest, the formulas are premium and effective, all taking the best ingredients from nature. Enriched with Hungarian Thermal Waters, each product is designed to deliver long-lasting nourishment to the skin. I first discovered the brand when I tried their Ultra Moor Mud Mask around 1 year ago, and my collection has been expanding ever since.

Here are my current Omorovicza skincare staples.

Omorovicza Moor Cream Cleanser

I’ve written about this previously in my 6 Winter Skincare Essentials post, but I have to mention it again. If I’m being completely honest, cleansing is a part of my skincare routine I always struggle with – I find it completely dries out my skin. But not anymore! The Omorvicza Moor Cream Cleanser is honestly one of the best I’ve ever used. It smells great, seriously cleans my skin, yet leaves it feeling soft. When my skin is feeling a bit worse for wear, I leave this cleanser on for a minute or two and it works as a treatment mask to detoxify my skin further. What more could a man ask for?

Omorovicza Oxygen Booster

Probably one of the latest additions to my skincare favourites, but I’ve got a feeling this is going to stay around for a long time. Omorovicza Oxygen Booster is an award-winning serum that rejuvenates tired skin. This gel has a cooling sensastion and a water-like texture that makes it incredible to use. It delivers oxyegen into the skin, that plumps and resurfaces any fine lines. Let’s face it, I’m not getting any younger – I’ll take all the help I can get.

Omorovicza Balancing Moisturiser

Can you ever have enough moisturiser? I don’t think so. The Balancing Moisturiser from Omorovicza has a cooling gel-cream texture that sinks instantly into the skin. Although it’s ideal for oily and combination skin, and mines dry, I love how light this moisturiser feels. Sometimes I feel that creams for my skin type can feel heavy, so from time to time, I switch to something lighter. Even though this cream is light, it hydrates and refreshes my skin. I particularly love using this moisturiser right after I’ve shaved, as the cooling gel helps reduce redness and calm irritated skin.

Omorovicza Refining Face Polisher

Exfoliating is an essential step in any skincare routine. It helps remove dead skin cells and refine the skin’s surface for a smoother complexion. The Omorovicza Refining Face Polisher is enriched with marine micro-algae to help brighten the skin, and pumice to refine and exfoliate. One of the main exfolating ingredients is lava powder; which alongside sounding awesome, is super effective in removing dead skin cells. I find that after using this my skin feels incredible smooth. It’s a really effective exfoliator so I’d advice only using it a couple of times a week. That’s all you need for clearer, smoother skin.

Omorovicza Ultra Moor Mud Mask

Let me just take a minute to admire how amazing this product is. I’ve gone through so many jars of this stuff, it’s honestly that good. The Ultra Moor Mud Mask is an all-purpose face mask that brightens, tightens, cleanses and exfoliates the skin. Whenever I use it, my skin feels incredible. You only need to use it for a couple of minutes, and you’ll be left with younger looking skin. I wish I knew how a skincare product could give the effects that it does, and I’m sure that if you use it, you’ll be blown away like I was.

I really couldn’t say anything negative about Omoroviza. The products really are effective and always go above and beyond expectations. I’ve tried a lot of products from the range and have never been dissapointed.

Head over to Mankind and explore the full range from Omorovicza, you won’t regret it.

Want to visit Moscow but want more information? My travel guide should give you some ideas.

Moscow, the capital and most popular city of Russia. It’s actually one of the largest cities in the world, and with that, comes a wide area to explore. I stayed in Moscow for a week and wanted to share the 3 things I think everyone must do or see when visiting Moscow.

moscow travel guide

What Makes Moscow Special?

When I visited Moscow, I had low expecations. It was a stepping stone on my trip, and the first place I visited after leaving the UK. Boy, was I surprised. Moscow is packed full of rich, historic architecture. If you’re a history buff like me, you’ll be in your element in this Russian city. Around every corner, there’s some form of historic landmark, which are not only beautiful to look at, but have some interesting stories behind them.

What three things must you do?

1. Visit The Red Square and Saint Basil’s Cathedral

Quite possibly the heart of the city, The Red Square is host to a number of popular landmarks. The most prominent being Saint Basil’s Cathedral. Whilst here you can also visit GUM, a shopping centre packed full of luxury boutiques. From there, you can nip into a cafe for lunch, then walk across the square to Lenin’s Mausoleum. In between all the adventure, make sure you stop and take pictures. I spent so much time wandering around The Red Square and viewing it’s landmarks, and you should too.

Saint Basil's Cathedral

2. Laze Around In Gorky Park

You would never expect a park this beautiful to be hidden away inside a city. The park was designed by a world-famous, avant-garde architect, Konstantin Melnikov. From row boats, to roller skating, Gorky Park is packed full of activities. It was nice to actually take a moment to unwind in the park, and switch off from the outside world. Although, all the trees wreaked havoc on my hayfever, but that’s something you have to deal with.

Gorky park fountains

3. Explore The Moscow Kremlin

The Moscow Kremlin is a fortified complex that overlooks the Moskva River. Insdie the grounds you’ll stumble across five palaces and four cathedrals, along with the Kremlin walls and Kremlin towers. I generally have no idea how they’ve managed to get so many beautiful buildings in once place, but they have! The walls are over 500 years old, and perfectly house the architecutre inside. Ivan the Great Bell Tower and the Dormition Cathedral were two of my favourite buildings, but when you’re standing in between them all, it’s seriously difficult to choose.

inside the moscow kremlin

Moscow is packed with so much history and architecture, it’s difficult to take it all in. What I’ve mentioned above would be the essential things you have to do, but if you have more time, there’s definitely a lot more to explore.

If you want to know anything else about my thoughts on Moscow, make sure you tweet me.

Winter is here! Well, almost. It doesn’t officially begin until December 21st, but doesn’t it feel like a permenant December here in England?

Looking after your skin during colder months is super important. The weather dries out your face, and the cold winds can leave your skin irritated. My 6 skincare essentials for men will tick off all the boxes and leave your skin nourised and refreshed.

winter skincare essentials for men

Omorovicza Moor Cream Cleanser

The foundation of any skincare routine is a cleanser. Cleansers aim to remove any excess dirt of oil from your skin, and the Omorovicza Moor Cream Cleanser doesn’t dissapoint. It’s gentle formula eliminates impurities without stripping your skin. This is particularly important in winter, because your skin is naturally irritated due to the cold weather. This cleanser has a cooling combination of ingredients such as Camphor, Peppermint and Eucalyputus which not only soothe the skin, but help brighten and invigorate.

You can get the Omorovicza Moor Cream Cleanser here.

Clinique For Men Face Scrub

Dry skin and cold weather come hand in hand. How do you combat it? With an exfoliator! I’m currently loving the Clinique For Men Face Scrub. The non-abrasive grains help to remove any dead skin or excess oil. Not only that, but it also unblocks pores and refines your complexion. Sounds great, right? I use an exfoliator a couple of times a week, and I wouldn’t advice doing it more than 3 times. You can irritate your skin and breakdown your natural protective barrier, which will wreak havoc on your skin in winter.

ARgENTUM la potion infinie Anti-Age Cream

Ooft, how luxury does that product sound? Having a rich moisturiser is essential during winter. Harsh weather will dry out your skin, which can leave your face red and irritated. This face cream from Argentum will not only hydrate and nourish your skin, but help reduce the signs of ageing and stress too. I know it’s a bit pricey, but if you want to keep your skin in tip-top shape throughout winter, it’s definitely worth investing. Afterall, prevention is better than cure. And that certainly applies to skincare.

You have to try Argentum! Get this face cream here.

Perricone MD Cocoa Moisture Mask

Raise your hand if you’re a guy who uses a face mask… If you didn’t raise your hand, take my advice and add one to your skincare routine, especially the Perricone MD Cocoa Moisture Mask. Not only does it smell like hot chocolate, but it works to restore and smooth your skin. It’s super nourishing, anti-ageing and will firm and tighten your skin. Think of it like a skincare boost. Although it’s suitable all year round, I particularly love it during the colder months. Don’t be alarmed when it changes colour as you apply it. It’s meant to go from off-white to brown as the cocoa-enriched microcapsules burst and nourish your skin.

Fancy giving this a whirl? Get your Perricone MD Cocoa Moisture Mask now.

Rituals The Ritual Of Samurai Hand Lotion

I always have a hand lotion either in my bag, on my desk, or in my bedside table. Why? If you’re like me and you talk with your hands, trust me when I say people will notice if you don’t look after them. The Rituals Of Samurai Hand Lotion has a super masculine smell and doesn’t leave your hands feeling greasy. It absorbs effortlessly into your skin and provides long lasting hydration. This hand lotion is enriched with Organic Bamboo and Sea Minerals to not only hydrate the skin, but protect it too. Winner!

It’s available on Mankind, and you have to try it.

Bulldog Original Lip Balm

If your face feels dry, I can guarantee your lips will too. Whenever I’m choosing a lip balm, I’m a sucker for a natural one with a great smell. The Bulldog Original Lip Balm has lovely texture, it’s barely noticeable on your lips, but it’s pleasant. This lip blam is vegan, which is always a bonus. It’ll leave your lips feeling nourished and protected, even in the most harsh condition. (Don’t go testing this up Mount Everest, but I’m sure it’ll withstand the cold.)

Why not check out the full Bulldog range?
